In accordance with the mandates of the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998, the District of Columbia Strategic Two-Year Workforce Investment Plan is a collaborative effort on the part of the Mayor and the District of Columbia Workforce Investment Council, which has the responsibility to assist the Mayor in development of the Plan. The Plan contains the most current data and information available from all of the required One-Stop partners, the Mayor’s Economic Development agencies, DC Public Schools, the State Education Agency at the University of the District of Columbia, the District of Columbia Chamber of Commerce and numerous other partners and stakeholders.
