In 2003, the District of Columbia Workforce Investment Council released its first State of the Workforce Report.  While the Report did not contain a great deal of new information, it did provide the Mayor, other key elected and appointed officials, employers and citizens with a compilation of very pertinent strategic information, major findings and recommendations to guide and direct future investment in workforce education and training programs and services.
